Disaster Resources Database

Delta County Emergency Management maintains a database of pre-identified resources to assist first responders and community agencies in responding to and recovering from all types of emergencies and disasters.  This database provides Delta County and its partners the ability to contact resources via established channels for expedited deployment to an incident. This is not a strictly donations based database, although the opportunity for donations certainly exists. During an incident, resources called upon are most often contracted or purchased at going rate.

The database is used as a way for our agency to call upon pre-identified resources to assist first responders and the community to respond to and recover from all kinds of emergencies and disasters. For example, on a hazardous materials scene, first responders may look to us for sand or barricades to assist in clean-up efforts, or during a fire event, local heavy equipment or meals may be needed to assist. The database provides us the ability to contact resources via established channels for expedited deployment to the incident. The resources in the database are ready resources we can count on to be there for the community when there is a need.

To become part of our resource pool, please complete and return the attached Resource Memorandum of Understanding to Jeffrey Wright, Delta County Emergency Manager, jwright@deltacounty.com or via fax at 970-874-2017.
